Yes — areca palm leaf plates are microwave-safe for short heating (about two minutes) and freezer-safe. Each is a single pressed leaf with no coating, so they hold curries, sambar and gravies without leaking or going soggy.
Do they compost at home or need an industrial facility?
At home. With no coating or lining — just leaf and water — they break down in a home compost or garden bed in roughly 60 days. No industrial composter required.
What makes them organic rather than just biodegradable?
